Splash Screen

The splash screen is the first thing users see when they open your app. It appears briefly while the app loads and is a great opportunity to reinforce your brand with a logo and background.

Logo

Show Splash Screen Logo

Toggle whether a logo is displayed on the splash screen.

  • Enabled: Your uploaded logo is shown centered on the splash screen.
  • Disabled: No logo is shown — only the background color or image.

Logo Image

Upload the image to use as your splash screen logo.

  • Accepted formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG
  • Tip: Use a PNG with a transparent background so the logo sits cleanly on any background color.

Logo Width & Height

Set the size of the logo in pixels. The value applies to both width and height — the logo is always square. Adjust this to control how large the logo appears on screen without cropping.

Background

Background Color

Set the background color of the splash screen for both Light and Dark themes.

  • Light Mode default: #ffffff
  • Dark Mode default: #000000

This color fills the entire screen behind the logo. Set it to match your brand color for a polished look.

Set Background Image

Toggle whether to use an image as the splash screen background instead of a solid color.

  • Enabled: A background image is displayed behind the logo.
  • Disabled (default): The solid background color is used.

When enabled, choose between two image types:

TypeDescription
Static ImageA regular JPG or PNG image used as the background
Animated Image (GIF)An animated GIF that plays during the splash screen

Static Image requirements: JPG, JPEG, or PNG format.

Animated Image requirements: GIF format only. Use a looping animation that complements your brand.

The background image fills the full screen. Use a vertically oriented image (portrait ratio) for best results on most devices.

Timing

Splash Screen Timeout

How long the splash screen stays visible before the app loads your website. Choose a duration that gives the app enough time to initialize without making users wait too long.

OptionRecommended for
1 SecondFast-loading websites with simple splash screens
2 SecondsMost apps — enough time to read the logo clearly
3 SecondsAnimated GIF backgrounds that need time to play
4–5 SecondsLonger intro animations or slower connections

Block Background Loading During Splash Screen

Controls whether the app starts loading your website in the background while the splash screen is showing.

  • No (default): The website begins loading in the background immediately, so it is ready as soon as the splash screen ends. This results in faster app startup.
  • Yes: The website only starts loading after the splash screen finishes. Use this if your splash screen is an intro animation that should not be interrupted by background activity.
